Weird Dreams

Woken by an emotional dream...

Working on the weekend in the office, with lots of other people. We were in the big conference room with lots of windows on the north side, and I noticed two planes in the air. Neither planes were complete, and they came down and crashed into the west side of the building, into a floor below us. Right before impact, I thought to dive under a large table and yelled for others to do the same. Glass flew everything and the building shook.

Next thing I knew we were in another room, and I was talking to the executive assistant of our Office. She didn't know what to do, and was on the phone- I told her to call 911 first, before the Deputy Director, so that the rescue crews would know there were people in the building even though it was the weekend. The room begin to fill with more people, and I realized it was about to get chaotic. There was a podium and mike in the room, so I stepped up and asked who had critical incident training- no one responded. I looked for Joaquin, but couldn't find him- I knew he could take charge. So I became the incident commander, and started directing people. No one was to leave the room without someone's knowledge, and only then for an assignment- gathering food, checking an alternate route to escape, looking for the injured, and keeping an eye out for fire. Two of our temps were to take names so we knew who was present, and those folks trained in first aid could tend to the injured- surprisingly there weren't many. It was at that time I realized the plane must have hit the first floor, because there was no sign of the security guard from the first floor desk. I asked if anyone had tried to exit through the stairwells (why hadn't we tried??), and everyone who did had found their way blocked by debris. As long as there was no fire, it was best to remain calm and wait for rescue...

and then I woke up.

Crazy dreams of destruction and chaos seem to be a trend lately. You are great at remembering the details of your dreams though. I wish I was better at it.

It was good to see you Tuesday night. Sorry I won't see you on Sunday.

I hate dreams like that
those disaster dreams that seem so real, that they haunt me for days.

Wow, that's a very eerie and scary dream.

Very vivid too.
