Help promote environmental literacy through this enjoyable and rewarding camp program! Sierra Cubs campers are invited once again to explore the natural world this summer in a camp setting among the shady live oak trees and Shoal Creek Greenbelt. Campers will receive instruction and participate in hands-on activities in several naturalist topics including: endangered species, native plants, aquatic ecology, geology, insects, and other wildlife. They will also learn how to use EcoArt, Eco-Tunes, and Earth Game activities, and sign
language to expand their naturalist skills.

When? M-F 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon the week of July 5-9.
Location? St. Andrews Episcopal School, in Central Austin near 34th and North Lamar.
Who? Sierra Cubs Camp is open to youth entering grades first-fourth grade


Volunteers are needed to lead groups of five campers through hikes and activities. Full week availability is preferred, but we will accept single morning volunteers. A short training session will be held on Saturday, June 26th, at 9am at St. Andrew's School. Please RSVP to or contact for questions at snaxxx@livejournal.com

Connie wants to go as well. Maybe there will be safety in numbers to avoid the ROTR cycle mess on Decker Lane! Call me! Meet at the park?

We plan to meet at the park entrance at 7:30, but if there are bikers everywhere, we're gonna meet at the conoco on the corner and bike form there.

I'll call you before I leave my house in the morning.
