Today was a solemn day to reflect on the past, and honor those who've we lost - but to truly honor those who have died, whether on 9/11 or fighting on foreign soil, it's important that we allow these events empower us to become more informed, ask the necessary questions, and demand answers. I've always thought the following words chilling, but even more so in the context of Olbermann's commentary -
"The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices - to be found only in the minds of men.
For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy, and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all its own - for the children, and the children yet unborn." ~ Rod Serling

Keith Olbermann's Commentary On The 9/11 Anniversary
I can't believe how spot on this is. I've been moved to a deep, melancholy silence since watching this twenty minutes ago. Feel free to pass the link on if moves you as well.
